Faith Hope Love Gala Keynote Speech, 01.26.2019
Upon request, the keynote speech I gave at the 2019 Faith Hope Love Gala.
Some notes: the historical accuracy of the piece is suspect, at best. Much of the information is correct; some of it, however, is deployed for rhetorical effect. My intention here was to produce less a point-for-point history of the development of medical science/oncology and more a new type of political myth, cast in a Hegelian-historical frame, that could generally inform and guide more directed research moving forward.
